IfaTE (Institute for Apprentices and Technical Education) has an apprentice panel to represent the views of the wider apprentice body. I joined the panel in July, 2022 and provided the following intro to be posted on their site

How exactly do you end up working at famous institutions such as the BBC? It was always a bit of a pipe dream, but the an apprenticeship was the route in.

Apprenticeships might not work for everyone, but more people need to know that they exist! That’s why I want to join the panel, to help get the information out there – so people can make a decision based on more than just thinking college or going straight into work.

I also believe there is a big issue to solve around getting more apprentices talking to each other and why not go straight to the place where a big difference can be made.
